Terms of Service
By accessing or using Syndal, you agree to these terms. Please read them.

Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Syndal (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.
If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you. The student owns the account, and the parent handles billing.
What Syndal provides
Syndal is a study tool that grounds its help in your own materials. It includes:
- Spark: grounded Q&A that answers from your own files and cites them.
- Reps: auto-generated quizzes and exam-style practice.
- Recall: flashcards with spaced repetition.
- Stash: a library for your notes, slides, scans, and past papers.
Your account
- Provide accurate, complete information when you sign up.
- Keep your login secure and don’t share your account.
- Tell us promptly if you notice unauthorized access.
- One account per person.
Acceptable use
Syndal is a study coach, not a homework-answer machine. When you use it, you agree to:
- Use it for genuine study and learning.
- Not pass off AI-generated work as your own, or breach your school’s or exam board’s assessment rules.
- Respect intellectual property, and only upload content you have the right to use.
- Not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the Platform.
- Not use Syndal to harm, harass, or impersonate others.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
Content and intellectual property
Your content. You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a license to process it so the Platform can do its job: parse it, index it, and ground answers in it. You’re responsible for having the rights to what you upload. We don’t sell your content, and we don’t use it to train third-party models.
Our content. The Platform, its design, and its AI features are our property. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them without permission.
Billing and cancellation
The free plan stays free. Premium is $39 per month (AUD), billed by the parent through Stripe. New accounts can start a 3-day free trial. No card is required, and we never charge you automatically.
You can cancel anytime in two clicks from the billing portal. If you cancel a paid month, we refund the current period. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
AI guidance is not a guarantee
Syndal’s answers, practice, and feedback are AI-generated and meant to support your study, and they aren’t infallible. They may contain errors, and you should verify anything important. We don’t guarantee specific marks or academic outcomes.
Disclaimers and liability
The Platform is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of it, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Termination
You can stop using Syndal and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the Platform, or are used for illegal activity.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product grows. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above, and we’ll let you know about significant changes. Continuing to use Syndal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
